Ohio Graduation Test: Brunswick High School's absenteeism rates drop

Ohio School district students have missed a lot of school this school yesr due to the winter weather among other problems. This is the first year that passing the Ohio Graduation Test is mandatory in order to graduate. Because of these missed days some schools, parents and teachers are worried this could cause problems with the students getting enough time to study for the OGT.
Brunswick High School's students had to start classes an hour earlier Monday, and absenteeism actually went down. The school will start classes at 6:30 a.m. for 10 days. The school District reports that the absentee rate of 5 percent dropped to 3.5 percent on Day 1 of the early shift. To read this article you can click above.
