Cleveland OGT Results Are In
|
The Cleveland Municipal School District received the preliminary results May 18th of the Ohio Graduation Test. The Class of 2007 is the first graduating class in Ohio which is required to pass the Ohio Graduation test in order to receive their diploma.
The results of the Cleveland Municipal School District show that hundreds of the high schools seniors who needed to pass portions of the OGT did not pass. 792 high school seniors needed to pass the Science portion of the OGT. Of those students 612 did not, meaning they will not receive a diploma.
Also 164 seniors needed to pass the Reading portion of the OGT, 122 failed. On Math portion only 85 of 439 seniors passed, and the Writing section results show only 64 passing of 177 who needed to.
There are alternate ways those seniors who do not pass can eventually earned their diploma. It involves summer work among other things. We need to make sure students do better on future Ohio Graduation Test Exams. Iq-ity is one way to help students get prepared for upcoming Ohio Graduation Tests.
